Technical Engineer em Portugal

Introduction

A machine breaks down and production risks falling behind. You investigate, discover where the problem lies, and get everything running again. But that's not where it stops-you immediately look at how to prevent this breakdown in the future. Does this sound like something for you? Then this role as an Allround Technical Mechanic might just be your next challenge!

Organization

This family business has been active in the world of electrical connections and wiring for over 70 years. With more than 100 employees, it has grown into an international player in the field of connectors, electrical components and custom-made cable harnesses. From supplying parts to producing complete electrical connections, there's a lot of engineering involved!

Despite its international position, the company still feels like a family business. Lines of communication are short, colleagues help each other, and new ideas are always welcome. Moreover, the organization continues to invest in modern machinery, automation and digitalization. A great place, then, for someone who enjoys working with technology and wants to continue developing themselves!

Function

As an All-Round Technical Mechanic, you ensure that hundreds of different machines, tools and dies continue to do what they're supposed to do. You perform preventive maintenance, identify faults and repair machines when necessary. At the same time, you take production planning into account and coordinate your work with team leaders to keep everything running as smoothly as possible.

But you're certainly not just tinkering away! You maintain maintenance schedules and calibrations, order parts and liaise with suppliers and external mechanics. The digital side of technology is part of it too. You work with machine software, manage settings and databases and record completed work.

And do you see opportunities to automate a manual task or use a machine more intelligently? Then you'll have the space to explore this and discuss your ideas. So you're not just solving problems, but also helping to continuously improve production!
