With a growing client base, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team in Porto. This is a unique opportunity to thrive in an international, fast-paced environment while enhancing your professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the main point of contact for corporate clients, building strong, lasting relationships.
Answer client tax queries with clear, accurate, and timely advice.
Prepare and provide reports to clients as required.
Submit tax obligations on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Process client expenses based on the invoices and receipts received.
Maintain client tax compliance across all relevant jurisdictions.
Advise clients on upcoming tax deadlines and the actions they need to take.
Apply expert knowledge in specialist areas, including:
Tax rates applicable to island jurisdictions.
Double taxation treaties and their implications.
Researching and presenting tax-specific information in a way clients can easily understand.
Liaise with tax authorities on behalf of clients to resolve queries and obligations.
Oversee specific tasks delegated to the Admin & Payroll team, ensuring quality and consistency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

Qualifications
Certificado Nivel Secundario de Educação or equivalent (European qualifications framework for lifelong learning (EQF) – Level 4 or higher)
Skills
Proactive Attitude – Eager to learn, take initiative, and tackle tasks with a positive mindset.
Organisational Skills – Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced work environment.
Relationship Building – Capable of establishing strong professional relationships with clients, team members, and associates.
Communication Skills – Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in Portuguese and English.
Attention to Detail – Meticulous and methodical approach to work with a focus on accuracy.
MS Suite & Technology - Exceptional experience with MS Outlook, MS Excel, Zoom, Accounting Software (not mandatory) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software

Position Details

Location: Porto, Portugal
Hours: Full-time, 9am - 6pm, Monday to Friday
