Junior Engineer em Porto, Portugal

Quadrante is looking to strengthen our Energy Business Unit through the recruitment of a Civil Engineering Trainee for the Structures area, based at our Porto office.

With national and international projects of varying scales and typologies, Quadrante offers a unique professional experience within the Portuguese engineering market.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in the design and development of civil infrastructure associated with substations, renewable energy projects (wind, solar, and/or BESS), and other infrastructure developments;
  
• Design efficient technical solutions that meet client requirements, ensuring proper calculations and sizing in compliance with applicable regulations;
  
• Prepare technical reports, design reports, and project specifications related to structural works, earthworks, drainage systems, and road geometric alignments;
  
• Develop 3D models of access roads and platforms using AutoCAD Civil 3D, supporting earthworks design and site layout development;
  
• Carry out structural calculations and detailing for equipment foundations, fencing, cable trenches, and other structural projects;
  
• Produce conceptual studies and drawings to guide the project team, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and overall project objectives;
  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the development of optimized engineering solutions;
  
• Ensure compliance with established project delivery deadlines.

Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
  
• Interest in Renewable Energy projects—Solar, Wind, and Energy Storage;
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD;
  
• Experience withRobot, Civil 3D, Revit, and/or PVcase will be considered an advantage;
  
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset;
  
• Adaptability and teamwork skills, combined with a high sense of responsibility and autonomy;
  
• Focus on technical excellence, attention to detail, strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities;
  
• Professional experience in the energy sector or a related field will be considered an advantage;
  
• Fluency in English;
  additional languages will be valued.
