WE ARE HIRING - HR Trainee

Odemira | Full-time | 12-month company internship

This is a company-funded internship contracted directly with Vitacress Portugal. It is not an IEFP internship programme.

We are looking for someone energetic, curious and ready to learn by doing. You will gain hands-on experience across recruitment, HR operations and transversal people projects, working closely with an experienced HR team and gradually building your own autonomy.

This is an opportunity to understand HR from different angles: own recruitment processes, learn the foundations of people operations and contribute to projects shaping how we work and how our people experience Vitacress.

What matters most is your willingness to learn, ask questions, take ownership and bring your own perspective as you grow.

What you will do:

Recruitment

Manage assigned recruitment processes, working closely with our recruiter and hiring managers.
Bring vacancies to life across the right channels, screen applications and coordinate the different stages of the selection process.
Keep candidates and hiring teams connected through timely, clear and thoughtful communication.
Follow processes through from vacancy to offer and support a smooth transition into onboarding and the first days at Vitacress.

HR Operations

Support day-to-day HR activities across the employee lifecycle, including employee documentation, HR data and systems, benefits, occupational health, onboarding and offboarding.
Work alongside our HR Operations & Process Specialist, taking ownership of recurring activities and helping deliver an accurate, responsive and consistent HR service.
Support employees and the HR team with information, data and other operational needs.

HR Projects

Contribute to transversal HR initiatives, from new HR systems and tools to employee engagement, learning & development and other people projects.
Support project coordination, data, communications and implementation, working with different members of the HR team and the business.
As you learn and build confidence, bring your own ideas and a fresh perspective to the way we work.

What you bring:

A degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Management or another relevant field, and a genuine interest in building a career in HR.
Energy, initiative and accountability — you take ownership, follow things through and like getting things done.
Strong organisation and attention to detail, including when the work is transactional or repetitive.
Clear communication and confidence working with different people.
Curiosity and adaptability — you ask questions, learn quickly and increasingly bring your own ideas.

What you will gain

A year of real HR experience

You will work across recruitment, HR operations and transversal people projects, with real responsibility from the start and increasing autonomy as you develop.

You will learn alongside experienced HR professionals, work closely with the business and gain exposure to different areas of HR and an international Group.

Our aim is that you finish the year having moved from learning → doing → owning → contributing your own ideas.
