About the company

Our client is a leading international IT services and consulting company with more than 2,500 employees worldwide.

As part of the continued development of its Portuguese operations, the company is looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Business Manager to join its Lisbon team.

The local organization currently includes around 20 permanent software developers, supported by a network of freelance consultants, and works with major international clients across industries including Banking & Financial Services, Industry and Retail.

The Role

As Director / Associate Director , you will play a key role in the development of the Lisbon business, with a strong focus on client development, account management and revenue growth.

This is a senior position for an established professional who already has a strong network of clients in Portugal and is able to bring existing business relationships and opportunities to the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and developing the business activity of the Lisbon office.
Bringing and developing existing client relationships and accounts within the Portuguese market.
Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Managing and expanding strategic client accounts.
Building long-term relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
Developing account strategies and identifying opportunities for growth.
Leading commercial negotiations and overseeing the full business development cycle.
Working closely with recruitment, delivery and technical teams to ensure successful project execution.
Contributing to the growth and development of the local team.
Monitoring business performance, revenue and profitability.
Representing the company with key clients and strategic partners in Portugal.

About You

We are looking for a senior commercial leader with a strong track record in the Portuguese IT services, consulting or technology market.

You should have:

Significant experience in a Director, Associate Director, Account Director, Business Unit Director or similar senior position .
A strong and established network of clients in Portugal.
A proven ability to bring existing client accounts and develop new business.
Extensive experience in business development, strategic account management and commercial negotiations.
A strong understanding of the Portuguese IT and consulting market.
Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
Strong leadership and entrepreneurial capabilities.
Fluency in Portuguese .
Fluency in English or French is required.
The ability to operate autonomously while working closely with an international organization.
