We are looking for an experienced DevOps AI Platform Engineer to design, develop, support, and optimize enterprise AI solutions. You will be responsible for taking ownership of existing AI applications, building new GenAI solutions, managing platform operations, and working closely with business stakeholders to drive AI adoption.

Responsibilities

Take over and maintain AI solutions delivered by external vendors, ensuring knowledge transfer, documentation, and operational readiness.
Design and develop AI solutions using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, Python, and TypeScript.
Implement AI patterns such as RAG, agentic workflows, conversational AI, document intelligence, and multimodal solutions.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, observability, and LLMOps practices.
Provide L3 support, troubleshoot incidents, and continuously improve AI solution performance and reliability.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to manage requirements, prioritize backlogs, and deliver high-impact AI initiatives.
Promote best practices and adoption of GitHub Copilot across development teams.

Requirements

5+ years of software development experience.
2+ years delivering Generative AI/LLM solutions in production.
Strong expertise in Python and/or TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Cloud Services, Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, Docker, CI/CD, Terraform/Bicep.
Experience with at least three of the following: RAG, conversational AI, agentic workflows, document intelligence, AI integrations.
Knowledge of prompt engineering, AI evaluation, guardrails, and LLMOps.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders and managing product backlogs.
Strong English communication skills.

Nice to Have

LangGraph, Microsoft Agent Framework, Pydantic AI or similar.
Azure AI Search, Neo4j, Qdrant, LlamaIndex.
Azure AI Services (Vision, Speech, Translator, Document Intelligence).
Fine-tuning and customization of AI models.
GitHub Copilot enablement experience.
Azure AI Engineer (AI-102) certification.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Location: Lisbon, Braga or Coimbra, Portugal

Work Model: Hybrid / On-site
