We're looking for an Business Analyst – Finance/Accounting & Data

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join an international financial environment, working at the intersection of Business, Finance, Accounting and Data . The role focuses on analysing business needs, translating them into functional requirements, mapping data and processes, and ensuring the quality and consistency of financial information.

The position involves close collaboration with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Data and IT teams , as well as international stakeholders in France, with a strong focus on business rules, data quality, governance and process improvement.

✅ Professional Experience & Main Tasks

Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements .
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and business rules .
Analyse and map business processes, accounting processes and data flows .
Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Data and IT stakeholders.
Analyse and validate financial and accounting data , ensuring consistency, completeness and quality.
Identify and investigate data discrepancies, inconsistencies and quality issues .
Define and maintain data mappings, business rules and functional documentation .
Analyse and validate the relevance, reliability and certification of internal and external data sources .
Support the implementation and evolution of data governance and data quality processes .
Contribute to the definition and monitoring of KPIs, dashboards and reporting requirements .
Participate in testing, business validation and UAT activities.
Support process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency .
Collaborate with French and international teams to support Finance and Accounting transformation initiatives .

✅ Skills & Experience

Strong experience as a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst , preferably within Banking, Financial Services or another regulated environment .
Good understanding of Finance, Accounting and Financial Reporting processes.
Knowledge of French accounting standards and IFRS is a strong plus.
Experience with requirements gathering, business rules and functional specifications .
Strong knowledge of data analysis, data mapping and data quality .
Experience with Data Governance and validation of data sources.
Good understanding of business process modelling and process mapping .
Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other data visualization tools .
Knowledge of statistical analysis and ability to interpret financial/business data.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project environments is a plus.
