The Role
As a Business Development Representative , you'll be the frontline engine for our growth, leveraging your hunting skills to build new pipeline through a multi-channel outbound strategy—including smart cold calling, social selling on platforms like LinkedIn, and hyper-targeted email outreach.
You'll scout and engage high-potential accounts, forge genuine relationships with decision-makers, and dig into their challenges to reveal opportunities where our solutions shine. Blending inbound leads with these proactive outbound plays, you'll qualify prospects, book discovery calls, and hand off hot opportunities to our sales team—fueling the revenue engine that powers our mission.
What will your day-to-day be like?
- Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting across multi-channel strategies—including cold calling, personalized email sequences via Apollo, and LinkedIn social selling—to identify and engage high-potential accounts grappling with cybersecurity challenges like application security (including client-side protection) and third-party risk.
- Leverage first- and third-party intent data to fuel targeted outbound hunting: research organizations using tools like Apollo, RB2B, G2, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to pinpoint key decision-makers and uncover pain points (e.G., software supply chain vulnerabilities, client-side attack surfaces, data privacy gaps, or AI Security challenges).
- Prioritize rapid follow-up on high-intent inbound leads and marketing-qualified leads, qualifying them into actionable opportunities, ensuring timely handoff to sales to drive immediate pipeline velocity.
- Create automated follow-up sequences in Apollo for leads from tradeshows and events, and support cross-functional efforts to nurture those opportunities and accelerate revenue.
- Articulate our solutions' value proposition through discovery conversations, qualifying prospects by aligning their needs with our offerings—such as mitigating client-side risks or streamlining compliance workflows—and collaborating with Account Executives to book high-quality discovery meetings and demos.
- Maintain accurate CRM records in Salesforce, track pipeline progress, and monitor overall outbound efforts to optimize performance.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience in tech sales is equally valued—no degree required.
- 1-3 years in a sales development, business development, or customer-facing role, ideally in cybersecurity, SaaS, or IT/software companies;
entry-level candidates with a passion for tech security are encouraged to apply. - Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline generation—especially in US or European markets—with familiarity using sales tools like Salesforce, Apollo, Outreach, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Be ready to share examples of creative outreach that drove meetings, including data-informed targeting or sequence automation.
- Experience in digital or tech environments, with exposure to cybersecurity themes (e.G., app sec testing including client-side protection, AI risk, supply chain risks, third-party compliance, or data privacy regulations) as a strong plus.
We believe you’ll succeed in this role if you have/are:
- Resilient and ambitious, with a proven track record of exceeding quotas through persistent, creative outbound efforts in dynamic tech settings, amplified by intent data and tool proficiency.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, thriving on high-volume activities while maintaining meticulous CRM hygiene, crafting effective follow-up sequences, and adapting to fast-changing priorities.
- A natural communicator with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills—capable of building rapport with C-suite stakeholders and articulating complex cyber risks, like client-side vulnerabilities or compliance mandates, simply.
- Self-motivated and coachable, with a growth mindset, intellectual curiosity for cybersecurity trends (e.G., evolving client-side threats or global compliance standards), and the drive to learn independently in a collaborative, high-growth team.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken);
proficiency in additional languages (e.G., German, French, or Spanish) is a significant advantage for European outreach.
