Analytics Engineers — Freelance via Shakers · Lisbon (hybrid)

A growing international Tech Hub building out of Lisbon is looking for Analytics Engineers (Mid-Senior) levels to own the design, build, and optimization of production-grade analytical solutions.

You'll model and transform data into consistent analytical structures, build and optimize ELT pipelines with automated quality tests, and partner closely with DE / DS / MLE / PO teams to ship reliable, value-driven data. Seniors will also mentor and run functional reviews across the team.

What you'll work with

• Advanced data modeling: star schema, dimensional modeling, medallion architecture, schema evolution, semantic layer design
• Large-scale semantic layer & data model optimization (performance, consistency, governance)
• Orchestration: Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks Workflows
• Advanced SQL: query tuning, partitioning, clustering, large data volumes
• Python / Spark: PySpark, Spark SQL, structured Python
• Cloud DWH: BigQuery, Snowflake, Synapse, Delta Lake, ADLS, Redshift

Nice to have: CI/CD & DevOps for data, governance/cataloging (Purview, Unity Catalog), Power BI semantic modeling + DAX optimization.
