Who We're Looking For

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join an international banking environment, supporting activities across Record to Report, AP/AR, Accounting Controls, Fixed Assets and Account Reconciliation . Depending on the candidate’s experience and area of expertise, the role may focus on accounting reconciliations, month-end closing activities, AP/AR, fixed assets or balance sheet analysis.

✅ Professional Experience & Main Tasks

• Perform accounting reconciliations between different systems and investigate discrepancies.
• Analyse GL, Balance Sheet, supplier, vendor and client accounts and identify outstanding items.
• Investigate accounting entries and identify possible anomalies or inconsistencies.
• Perform month-end closing activities , including accruals, corrections and depreciation.
• Register general accounting bookings, including VAT, provisions and fixed assets , in line with Group accounting standards.
• Analyse and clear open items , identifying the appropriate actions to resolve outstanding balances.
• Prepare VAT reports and other accounting-related reports and analysis.
• Create and maintain Fixed Assets in accordance with Group policies and accounting standards.
• Perform accounting controls in line with corporate procedures and internal controls .
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and efficiency of accounting processes.
• Work with different stakeholders to investigate and resolve accounting issues.

✅ Skills & Experience

• Previous professional experience as an Accounting Officer / Accountant / Accounting Specialist or in a similar role is mandatory.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: R2R, AP/AR, Accounting Reconciliation, Accounting Controls or Fixed Assets .
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and processes .
• Experience with ERP systems , preferably SAP or Oracle .
• Good knowledge of MS Office , particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of accounting data.
• Previous experience in banking or financial services is a plus.
• Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Management or a related field is preferred.
